What Oakton Residents Ought To Know About Effective Spider Control
When it comes to keeping spiders out of Oakton properties, doing it successfully without the help of a professional is nearly impossible. Spiders are attracted to homes that have an abundance of pests for them to prey on, which can make preventing them very difficult. The types of pests that spiders eat are cockroaches, flies, gnats, and ants, amongst others. Things like damp conditions and the promise of a water source are also enough to lure in spiders and keep them around. Often, homes provide spiders with everything they need without homeowners even being aware of this. Given their ability to also fit through almost any opening around a property makes keeping spiders out a very tall task.
The most effective form of spider control comes from the professionals at Miche Pest Control. We include these services in our general pest control programs because we believe that residents deserve comprehensive protection from spiders. Each quarter, our skilled technicians not only de-web properties but also treat both the interior and exterior in order to create a barrier between spiders and people. Just How Dangerous Are Oakton's Spiders?
The spiders that appear in Oakton properties represent a vast array of species that exist around the world. Two of the most common types of spiders that appear in Oakton are the black widow and brown recluse, and both of these spiders are very dangerous. While they both have antisocial tendencies and live in places like closets, attics, and basements, if either perceives a threat or feels provoked, then they are very likely to attack. The implications of these spider bites can be very harmful, leading to things like nausea, vomiting, muscle aches, joint pain, and swelling at the bite location. Additionally, the wolf spider and daddy long-legs have serious health implications if one of their bites is experienced.
At Miche Pest Control, we focus on providing the most comprehensive spider control available. We understand the pressure that these dangerous pests put on residents, which is why we include preventive and corrective services with all of our general pest control programs. How Are Spiders Getting In My Oakton Home?
Spiders are very crafty pests and if you’ve ever noticed an influx of them in your Oakton home, you’re not alone. The main reason why spiders enter homes is in search of food, which comes in the form of other pests like ants, gnats, flies, and cockroaches, and they will do anything they can in order to access this food. One of the most common ways that they get inside your house is by crawling through cracks and crevices in your foundation. This may include openings that you can’t even see. They are also masters at slipping underneath doors with the smallest gaps, taking advantage of broken window screens, and invading packages that have been sitting out on your porch. If you’ve ever gone camping or spent time outdoors, spiders may easily infiltrate your personal belongings and gain entrance to your home by these means.
Because keeping spiders out of the home can prove very tricky, Miche Pest Control provides homeowners with spider control as part of our routine residential pest control program. On a quarterly basis, we’ll de-web your home and apply interior and exterior treatments in order to prevent spiders and their prey. If any spiders do appear between visits, we’ll re-treat your home at no extra fee. For more information on protecting your home from spiders, contact us today.
