Three Mouse Control Tips Every Falls Church Homeowner Should Know

Having mice in your home is a real nightmare. These intruders are unsanitary, and they pose a real threat to your health and well-being, not to mention that of your family and loved ones. They can also cause structural damage, compromising your safety. In order to avoid an infestation of mice, there are some preventative measures to implement around your home. Consider the following three mouse control tips for your Falls Church home:

  1. Block of entry and access points, sealing up cracks and crevices, and using weather stripping.
  2. Eliminate access to food sources, and keep all food and belongings in gnaw-proof containers.
  3. Reduce excess moisture throughout the home, and fix leaky pipes and faulty faucets.

While these tips are certainly helpful, the truth is none of them are entirely effective on their own. The most effective way to guard your home against mice is to rely on a team of certified pest professionals. Contact Miche Pest Control to secure year-round coverage from mice and the dangers they pose. We’re here to deliver dependable protection you and your loved ones can feel good about.

Why Is It So Hard To Control Mice In Falls Church?

There are various reasons why mice are hard to control once they get into your home or business. Firstly, they mate rapidly, causing a widespread infestation in a short amount of time. Mice can spread and grow their populations very quickly. They reproduce prolifically, and when you think you’ve eliminated one, another one pops up, then another, and another.

The other thing that makes mice hard to exterminate is that they are tiny, very sneaky pests. They can squeeze through the tiniest openings in remote areas that can be hard to get to. Mice are tiny, and they can fit into the most cracks and crevices, doing whatever they can to enter your home. Once they get inside, they cause widespread contamination and property damage that can be detrimental to your health and safety.

The only guaranteed way to protect your Falls Church property from mouse infestation is to get in touch with your local pest professionals. The experienced team at Miche Pest Control provides complete mouse control and prevention services that give you dependable coverage throughout the year. Call today to get started.

Falls Church VA

Falls Church is an independent city in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Falls Church is included in the Washington metropolitan area. Taking its name from The Falls Church, an 18th-century Church of England (later Episcopal Church) parish, Falls Church gained township status within Fairfax County in 1875. In 1948, it was incorporated as the City of Falls Church, an independent city with county-level governance status although it is not a county. The city's corporate boundaries do not include all of the area historically known as Falls Church; these areas include portions of Seven Corners and other portions of the current Falls Church postal districts of Fairfax County, as well as the area of Arlington County known as East Falls Church, which was part of the town of Falls Church from 1875 to 1936.

At 2.11 square miles, Falls Church is the smallest independent city by area in Virginia. Since independent cities in Virginia are considered county-equivalents, it is also the smallest county-equivalent in the United States by area. The center of the city is the crossroads of Virginia State Route 7 (Broad St./Leesburg Pike) and U.S. Route 29 (Washington St./Lee Highway). The primary roads serving Falls Church directly are U.S. Route 29 and Virginia State Route 7. The portion of US 29 through Falls Church is also coincident with Virginia State Route 237. Most of Virginia State Route 338 is also within Falls Church. Interstate 66 passes just north of the city, while Interstate 495 passes a few miles to the west.
